Therapists

Elizabeth Vasko RMT

Liz had entered into massage therapy in 1996 after graduating from the WCCMT in Vancouver. She had pursued building a practice in Vancouver’s West End and over on the North Shore for the first two years, until she met with Dr Brenda Mason at Yaletown Chiropractic. It was at that time that she would bring her massage therapy practice up to another level, within a fast, yet refreshingly challenging pace along side the chiropractors and RMTs.

In 1999, Yaletown Massage Therapy had opened with the guided direction and vision of both Liz and her former business partner. It became one of the few massage therapy clinics in this vibrant neighbourhood.

Liz utilizes a number of massage therapy techniques, such as myofascial release, trigger point therapy, muscle energy technique, and visceral manipulation to name a few. These forms of treatment can be used in conjunction with each other and have effective, long lasting results.

To aid in continued recovery or general wellness, Liz suggests yoga and Pilates as gentle movement exercises to strengthen core muscles. She has practiced both for quite a few years and she can appreciate the positive outcome of strength and proper alignment in the body from training in those disciplines.

She continues to enjoy working with patients of all ages including seniors and youth, pre/post natal women, and athletes. She offers billing to extended health providers and to ICBC for MVA related claims.

On her days away from the clinic, Liz loves spending time with her family. She is passionate about dance and movement, being out in nature hiking or snowboarding on the mountains of our beautiful West Coast.

Liz is available on Monday, Wednesday, Friday in Yaletown, and Thursday in North Vancouver.
